FAQ
What happens if a purchased puppy/ dog fails hip/elbow certification?
If this were to happen, we offer a 50% refund on the full purchase price of the puppy.
Will you take a dog back?
We will ALWAYS take back any of our puppies/ dogs regardless of circumstance. We include a first refusal portion in our contract to ensure this.
Do I get to pick my puppy?
No. All of our buyers must fill out an application which, in return, helps us gather insight into what you're looking for in your next puppy. We then use that information and the information gathered from our Avidog Puppy Evaluation Test to match you to the puppy we feel would be best suited for you. We do follow gender preferences. Color is the last preference considered.
What coat types do you produce?
We mainly produce stock coats but we may have long coats occasionally depending on what our females and the males we take them to carry for.
Do I get to choose my puppies registered name?
At this time, no. All puppies are preregistered by us using their names that correspond with their litter letter that we assign. You may, however, pick a call name of your choosing!
How soon should I reach out if I'm interested in a puppy in the future?
I only keep a waitlist for one year ahead. I always recommend reaching out and expressing interest as soon as you can. You won't officially be added to waitlist, but this allows myself and the future buyer to establish a relationship.
Are deposits transferrable?
Yes, deposits are transferrable to future litters. However, which litter a deposit is transferred to is up to my discretion while taking your needs into account.
What is Degenerative Myelopathy (DM)?
Degenerative Myelopathy, often referred to as DM, is disease affecting the spinal cord, resulting in slowly progressive hind limb weakness and paralysis. DM is a very prevalent genetic condition in the German Shepherd breed. We take extra caution with our pairings to prevent producing this by only breeding DM carriers (unaffected) to dogs that are DM clear. By doing so, some puppies may end up being unaffected carriers. Any litter produced by us that has the chance to produce DM carriers will be tested before being paired to their new homes to ensure full transparency about their puppy.
Do you sell puppies on Full or Limited Registration?
All of our puppies are initially sold with Limited Registration with the possibility of Full Registration being released upon passing health testing and tilting.
Are deposits refundable?
Deposts are nonrefundable. However, they are transferrable to a different litter.
Do you offer discounts on your training packages for puppy buyers?
Yes! All puppy buyers receive a 50% off discount on our training services and FREE boarding.
